Throttle body needed a good cleaning

So I was in the process of sanding the chrome off my CAI and painting it (high temp paint) and looked at the TB and it was nasty on the front. I could only imagine what it looked like on the back side and sure enough it was worse.

I didnt have any throttle response or idling issues so this was just maintenance and I guess at 65k, it needed it.

Anyway here are some before and after pics.

I used one can of brake cleaner BTW and one nylon and one brass detail brush.

nice, makes me think I should take a look at mine seeing as I just hit 70k

I cleanded mine and I can tll a differance. Eli you need to do it.

I clean both my trucks and my mini vans TB every other oil change. I use a mini power ball for a smooth air flow.
