I cant believe I havent done a thread yat on my truck....shows how much I think about myself.

Well......here she is. this weekend, I'l snap some sad pic on how shes doing now that its been in the garage since May.

Chain cover show'd sign's of coolent leak into the block. When Chrystler built the motor...they didnt use a sealer around the cover.


Repaint'n the insides from that light gray....to black

also didn't know the 4.7 had overhead cams

its a v6 not a v8

Wait ba minute... OHC?? Is that a 4.7?? If so no wonder they make power. I had no Idea dodge had a OHC motor.

Oh and by the way... sweet ride!!

I forgot to mention V-8 as well. I knew the 4's and 6's had OHC set ups. Hmmm, if they would make an all aluminum 4.7 DOHC with Hemi head with a huffer, that would be a little screamer!!

the 3.7 is just a 4.7 with the back half cut off...

Right now I bought a new set of heads and sent them off to have about a 32nd shaved off. Hope'n by close'n the chamber gap I'll have alittle more compression then normal. After that, I had the ex post's matched to my JBA headers. Really sucks I cant do anything with the plastic intake. I did how ever polished the intake side alittle. Maybe give a slick flow of air. All n all no major changes. Still want'n to blow this motor up so I can drop in something BIGGER!!!!!

here is an update.

What are you doing to it?

well besides change'n everything over from the light grey to black...I found this spray on rubber that will help reduce sound. with that I'm also pray'n foam all along the inner structures of the cab. Also still rebuilding the motor....

Ok my next question is why are you rebuilding the motor. You should have just bought a hemi

well since I havent been working much...theres no money to flip for a hemi

really dont know man...depends on how good the money comes in.

I might get mine built before you.Three weeks to get the pistons custom made.We`ll see.
